The Problem We Solve

Certified But Still Selling Locally? The Gap Between Certification and Export Is Real.

Thousands of Kenyan farms achieve GLOBALG.A.P., Rainforest Alliance, and FairTrade certification every year — and then continue selling to the same local middlemen at the same prices. Certification alone does not create buyer relationships.

International buyers — supermarket chains, importers, processors, and development-sector off-takers — have specific requirements for how suppliers approach them. Cold emails from unknown farms are ignored. Introductions through trusted intermediaries are not.

We bridge the gap. We help you build a credible supplier profile, understand what buyers in each market actually require, and position your produce to be taken seriously by verified international buyers.

Without Market Linkage

You sell to local middlemen at KES 40–60/kg for certified avocado. EU buyers pay KES 120–180/kg for the same quality. The gap stays in someone else’s pocket.

With Market Linkage

You access buyers who pay premium prices for certification-backed produce. Certification becomes commercially valuable, not just a compliance cost.

What We Deliver

Four Ways We Connect You to International Markets

📄

Supplier Profile Development

We create a professional supplier profile document that buyers expect — covering your farm size, certification status, crop varieties, volumes, harvest seasons, packaging capabilities, and food safety systems. This is your international business card.

🎯

Buyer Market Intelligence

We provide specific, actionable intelligence about your target market — what buyers in that market pay, what certification they require, what volumes they buy, and how the procurement process works. No generic information — country-specific, crop-specific data.

✉️

Buyer Outreach Framework

We develop a customised outreach strategy and professional email templates for approaching buyers in each target market. We tell you exactly how to introduce your farm, what to say, what to attach, and how to follow up — based on how buyers in each market actually respond.

🤝

Export Compliance Documentation

We help you prepare and understand all the documentation international buyers require before placing their first order — phytosanitary certificates, KEPHIS inspection requirements, export licences, certificate of origin, and buyer-specific compliance forms.

How It Works

From Certified Farm to International Buyer — Step by Step

1

Export Readiness Assessment

We assess whether your farm or cooperative is genuinely ready for international buyers — covering certification status, volumes, consistency, packaging capability, and documentation. We tell you what gaps need closing before buyer introductions will be productive.

2

Supplier Profile & Market Selection

We build your professional supplier profile and identify the two or three export markets best suited to your crop, volumes, certification, and harvest timing. We explain exactly what each market pays and what they require.

3

Compliance Documentation

We guide you through obtaining all required export documentation — KEPHIS phytosanitary certificates, HCDA licences, export permits, and any buyer-specific compliance forms. We explain what each document is, who issues it, and how long it takes.

4

Buyer Outreach & Introduction

We develop your customised outreach framework — professional introduction templates, supplier profile document, and a structured follow-up sequence. We coach you on how to handle buyer responses, negotiate terms, and move from first contact to sample request.

First Export & Ongoing Support

We support you through your first shipment — answering logistics questions, helping you understand buyer feedback, and advising on how to grow the relationship into a consistent supply arrangement.

Is This Right For You?

You Are Ready for Market Linkage Support If…

You have GLOBALG.A.P., RA, or FairTrade certification (or are 90 days from achieving it)

You can supply consistent volumes — at least 5–10 tonnes per season

You are currently selling locally and want to access higher prices internationally

You are a cooperative or exporter who wants to understand exactly what UK or EU buyers require

Common Questions

Market Linkage & Export Access — FAQs

Do you guarantee you will find me a buyer?

No honest intermediary can guarantee a signed contract — the buyer makes that decision. What we do is build a credible supplier profile, give you market-specific buyer intelligence, and equip you to approach verified buyers the way they expect to be approached. We also tell you honestly whether you are export-ready before you spend money chasing buyers.

How much does market linkage support cost?

It depends on your crop, your target market, and the scope of support you need — profile only, full market intelligence, or end-to-end outreach. We give one fixed quote after a free discovery call.

Which markets and crops do you cover?

We support exports to the EU, UK, Middle East, and China, across avocado, French beans, mango, roses, tea, coffee, macadamia, passion fruit, and herbs and vegetables. Each market has different buyer expectations and requirements — we cover them crop by crop, market by market.

What do I need in place before you can help me export?

Ideally a recognised certification (or to be within about 90 days of achieving it), the ability to supply consistent volumes — typically 5–10 tonnes per season — and KEPHIS phytosanitary readiness. If you are not certified yet, the best starting point is a certification pre-audit.

Do you handle EUDR requirements for EU buyers?

Yes. For coffee and other affected products, EU buyers increasingly require EU Deforestation Regulation compliance — traceability and proof of deforestation-free production. We help you meet those requirements; see our EUDR compliance guide.

Can I pay via M-Pesa?

Yes. Our support fees can be paid via M-Pesa. Send a WhatsApp message and we will share payment instructions immediately.
